1. What We Collect
Account data (name, email), the academic profile you choose to provide (grades, test scores, extracurriculars, budget, preferences), and the application data you track (saved schools, deadlines, application statuses, scholarship interests). We also collect standard technical logs needed to operate the service securely.
2. How We Use It
Your data is used to operate HumXapply for you: matching institutions and scholarships to your profile, generating your deadline timeline, and giving the AI advisor the context it needs to provide personalized guidance. Messages you send to the AI advisor, along with relevant profile context, are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses; they are not used to train their models under our API agreement.
3. What We Never Do
We never sell your personal data. We never share your profile, grades, or application activity with universities, colleges, or other institutions. Your data is yours.
4. Payments
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are sent directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We store only your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference.
5. Storage & Security
Data is stored with Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies so each account can only access its own records. All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to production data is restricted and logged.
6. Students & Minors
HumXapply is designed for high-school students, many of whom are minors. We collect only the information needed to provide the planning service, and we recommend involving a parent, guardian, or counselor in your application decisions. Parents or guardians may contact us to review or delete a minor's data.
7. Your Rights
You can access and update your profile at any time from the app. You may request a copy of your data or full account deletion by emailing us — we will action deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
